Johnny Depp recently requested a pause on his upcoming Virginia-based lawsuit that will feature Amber Heard, but that doesn’t mean the lawsuits featuring the two celebrities are going away. Quite the contrary, in fact. This week, Heard filed her own countersuit, saying Johnny Depp and his team have embarked upon “a smear campaign.”
Like so many film productions, The Batman had to stop rolling cameras earlier this year due to the current health crisis. After approximately five and a half months, director Matt Reeves and the cast and crew of the Caped Crusader’s latest movie finally started rolling cameras again earlier this week in the United Kingdom, but now they’ve once again had to press the pause button.
Christopher Nolan had had a slew of hit movies over the years, many of which have big twists and make big money at the box office. And quite a few of the blockbusters have one-word titles including Inception, Interstellar, Dunkirk, and Memento. The acclaimed filmmaker recently appeared on our very own ReelBlend podcast, where he opened up about his titling process. As he put it,
It’s was almost 30 years in between the release of Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey, and the new Bill and Ted Face the Music. With a break that long in between films, it was easy enough to believe that we would never see a third Bill and Ted movie, and yet the movie is finally here. The trilogy was finally completed after Keanu Reeves had something of a career renaissance thanks to the John Wick franchise, so it’s easy to connect the dots that John Wick‘s success ultimately helped Face the Music happen, but co-star Alex Winter isn’t so sure that’s what happened. In fact, he was afraid the success of John Wick might ultimately hurt the Bill and Ted movie’s chances of happening.
The fact that the scene ended up in Jurassic World likely isn’t too shocking considering the fact that Steven Spielberg, who has acted as producer for the entire franchise, apparently really loved the idea of the scene back when it was part of Jurassic Park III, and that likely hadn’t changed for Jurassic World. It seems that in the end, Jurassic Park III just became too big, and thus, too expensive, and the decision was made to cut the scene back then. Johnson continues…

The Star Wars franchise is arguably the most popular in film history, with entire generations of moviegoers brought up on the galaxy far, far away. The beloved property went back into lightspeed thanks to the sequel trilogy, which ended with J.J. Abrams’ The Rise of Skywalker last December. Abrams was tasked with crafting an appropriate ending for the nine-film Skywalker Saga, and there were plenty out there who took umbrage with his choices. But Finn himself actor John Boyega has come to the filmmaker’s defense in this case.
In announcing this year’s Halloween plans Disney has stated that during the official Halloween season, which will run at Walt Disney World from September 15 to October 31, adults, as well as children, will be able to wear costumes in the parks at any time. Full face masks will still only be allowed for guests younger than 14, but anybody will be able to dress up from head to toe in a costume, which is a pretty significant change.
In the case of Chadwick Boseman, things are more complicated. By all accounts Da 5 Bloods actor was intensely private about his personal life, to the point where most of the people who knew him did not know he was battling colon cancer, from his Avengers to 5 Bloods collaborators. As a celebrity, Boseman likely gained a lot from not being open about his diagnosis, in terms of maintaining the image he wanted to in public life and avoiding all the media scrutiny and questions, but like everything, life is complicated, and there is some loss there as well.
Unhinged is the story of a madman who already starts the day at a 10, and cranks his madness up to a 20 when all is said and done. But at the same time, the film is also a tale of a woman who, when pressed against the wall of fate, finds the strength to do what she needs to do to keep her family safe.
Just as Tom Cooper lashes out in greater, more menacing swipes at Rachel Hunter, she evolves into someone who’s not going to take it. While the chain of events that got her there isn’t the most ideal classroom to learn such a lesson, it’s good to know that Rachel leaves the day with a better head on her shoulders, and her son still safe and sound.
If you’re near a theater that’s showing the film, and feel you’re ready to safely go back to the movies, Russell Crowe’s Tom Cooper is waiting to take you on a ride through the depths of Hell. That is, of course, if you have read all these spoilers without seeing the film for yourself.
Some of the silver linings out of this, and I’m always trying to look for silver linings when challenges come my way, is generally, babies and little children can often have little to no symptoms at all. So for our babies, Jazzy and Tia, they had a little sore throat the first couple of days, but other than that, they bounced back, and it’s been life as normal. Happy babies running around and playing, but we have isolated ourselves as a family, it’s what we had to do. It was a little bit different for Lauren and I. We had a rough go, but we got through it, and again, we got through it as a family. We are stronger, we are better and we did it together.
