I just had an idea one day and I was like, ‘Oh, this, you know, in knowing the character that Matt is bringing to the screen, I just thought this, to me, feels like… if I were Batman, if I were Matt Reeves as Batman, what would be going through my head as I stood up on top of some building and just looked at the city?’ And I thought, ‘Yeah, this is what would get me going through my head.’ And so I wrote that, sent it to Matt and he really loved it. Then we had a chance to record a bunch of it when I was in London at one point, we did that, for no other reason than to maybe use it for trailers. I know Matt most importantly just wanted it to be able to edit with it. I wrote like 40 minutes or so of music, none of which to anything pictorially. It was just sort of like, ‘Well, here’s what I’m thinking, you know?’ And so who knows how much will last, and how much we’ll look at later and go ‘It doesn’t fit as well as we thought.’ But that particular, very simple main theme, you know, that’ll be there.
You know what’s going to be absurd? Getting that entire cast back. You can’t do it without Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. But I’d also argue that you can’t attempt to bring a sequel to the big screen without the contributions of Isla Fisher, Rachel McAdams, Christopher Walken, Jane Seymour and, yes, Bradley Cooper. Do you think the Oscar-nominated director of A Star is Born is willing to come back and play Sack Lodge?
Of course, projects like Borat Subsequent Moviefilm thrive on that sort of thing, as constantly questioning the reality of this moviefilm is half of the fun of watching it unfold. So it really doesn’t matter what the truth may be in this case, as ultimately, the curious scenario of Macy Chanel is just another mystery left for fans to decipher for themselves. Something that you can currently do for yourself, as Borat Subsequent Moviefilm is currently available for streaming on Prime Video.
Certainly, it’s obvious these studios aren’t making money as movies sit unreleased, but frequently, due to borrowing situations like this, it actually costs money as well. All that money goes to the film’s bottom line, requiring it to make that much more in order to be successful, which is that much harder to do considering that entire theater chains are closed and those that are open simply couldn’t fill the screening rooms, even if people were willing to go in mass numbers, which they are not.
Ground control to Major Tom? As you will undoubtedly notice in the Stardust trailer debut, there is not a single note of David Bowie’s music, not even a guitar riff. We’ll get into why in a moment, but the first look does tease an exciting transformation for the groundbreaking artist that would go down in history as his Ziggy Stardust era.

The idea began only about a day ago when Josh Gad posted a tweet urging people to go out and vote. He promised that, if the tweet was retweeted 10,000 times, he would recap all of Star Wars, in the voice of Olaf. Whether it was people’s civic responsibility to promote voting (because, seriously, vote) or simply the desire to see Star Wars as done by Olaf, the tweet broke that threshold in remarkably short order. And Josh Gad has already begun to keep his promise. Because recapping all of Star Wars is a tall order, he’ll be doing it in sections, and first we have the entire prequel trilogy. Check it out.
Talk about an all-female Marvel movie were increased following a brief sequence in Avengers: Endgame‘s final battle. When Captain Marvel arrives on scene, she takes on Thanos’ forces backed by the likes of Valkyrie, Gamora, Nebula, Mantis, The Wasp, Shuri, Pepper Potts, and Scarlet Witch. While some moviegoers eye rolled at this sequence, others were galvanized to see more female collaboration in future projects.
The reason the verdict on this court case is so important is that it’s coming as Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have separate lawsuits in Virginia. Depp sued Heard first, claiming she tarnished his name in an Op Ed that she wrote. Then, Heard countersued—and for a whole lot more money. For Heard’s part, the Aquaman actress says Depp’s new lawsuit is continuing his “abuse.” Thus, unlike the Op Ed at the center of the lawsuit which was not specific her claims were about Depp, Heard is and has been saying her ex was her abuser as part of these court cases. For his part, Johnny Depp has also made claims related to abuse from Heard.
