In the North American region of the world, the weather is about to get a lot colder as we move deeper the winter season. But with moviemaking still continuing in cities like Toronto, the show will go on for movies that are looking to get underway in the near future. Kevin Hart’s latest action comedy, The Man From Toronto, is one of those very projects that’s shooting at right now, and as the man himself said on social media, it’s a very cold time to be filming in those Canadian streets.
She is there to visit a bed-ridden Diane and tells her about her young child who is currently learning to walk and clues the audience in that she also knows her own biological parents. It sounds like she got to go to the University of Washington after all, works with kids and overall has a happy life. But, somehow she’s still here visiting her lifetime abuser and calling her mom. She has a round of pills hidden in her mouth. She tells Diane she loves her and to “open wide” just before the credits roll. Uh… what? Chloe, sweetie, just move on with your life!
It’s a twisted ending. The story ends in revenge long after the events of the film. Chloe has not moved on, emotionally anyway. She visits her once a month to torture her with her life outside their isolated world she created and gives her the same muscle relaxers that still plagues her life today.
Following the original source material closely, Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, which is set in humanity’s far future, will chronicle the journey of Timothee Chalamet’s Paul Atreides, who must fight to take back his family’s rightful inheritance after they are betrayed. Jason Momoa’s Duncan Idaho is House Atreides’ swordmaster and one of Paul’s mentors, while Dave Bautista’s Glossu Rabban is the unscrupulous nephew to Stellan Skarsgård’s Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, House Atreides’ greatest enemy. The Dune lineup also includes Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Zendaya and Javier Bardem, among others.
Being the latest celebrity to go through the rigorous process of being interviewed on Sean Evans’ hit internet talk show Hot Ones, Daniel Radcliffe endured a gauntlet of hot questions, all while sampling some of the spiciest sauces known to humanity. With the latest season of the show coming to a close, it felt like a good time to reveal some behind-the-scenes facts on a series as iconic as the Harry Potter movies, and Daniel Radcliffe didn’t disappoint with this interesting tidbit. Here’s what he had to say about his bouts of magical property damage:
These days big name Black actors in Hollywood are becoming more and more common. Of course, there are still old school a-listers like Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman or Samuel L. Jackson, but the newer round of Hollywood names features the likes of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Michael B. Jordan, John David Washington and even newer newcomers like Jonathan Majors. The W cover story in question also mentions Kelvin Harrison Jr., LaKeith Stanfield, Jovan Adepo, and Aldis Hodge to name a few more rising stars in the industry.
For others, though, the movie-going experience will never change, and as soon as it’s safe for all of us to attend a premiere on a Friday night, we will be right back to it. This can’t be emphasized enough. These are unprecedented times. It’s a global pandemic. The film industry held out for as long as it could, but the short term solution, which will provide SOME relief, involves utilizing streaming services to keep entertainment in front of audiences.
Heart of Stone is reportedly keeping its options open as far as distribution, so this could end up as a theatrical release or on a streaming platform. While this project is still in the early stages, and thus theatrical distribution will hopefully be a stronger option by the time the film comes to market, it’s clear that streaming’s viability won’t be receding anytime soon, if ever. The fact that Gal Gadot’s next movie Wonder Woman 1984 will debut on HBO Max, alongside theatrical release, is certainly proof of that.
Debates have broken out on the internet over whether Riley should have been the one, true pairing that Abby wound up in at the end of Happiest Season, and that’s all that you really need to know about how a Riley-centric sequel would fare. Though it should be noted that the final cut of the film did delete an entire character that could have shut that line of thought down for good; as Clea DuVall was supposed to play Georgia, Abby’s ex-girlfriend. If the Instagram montage at the end of the film is any indication, it looks like Georgia and Riley became a thing, and all was right with the world.
At the moment, Tom Holland is hard at work filming a third Spider-Man movie that is a total mystery to us. We think that Jamie Foxx is down to play a villain in the movie, but we don’t know if he’s Electro from the Marc Webb movies, or someone different. We know that Benedict Cumberbatch will play Stephen Strange in them movie, but we don’t know if it’s a cameo, or a significant role. We only know a release date. For now, it’s December 17, 2021. Will Peter Parker rock that jacket in the movie? It’s be pretty fresh.
So as an example, The Suicide Squad is currently slated for August 5, 2021. Right now, the plan is for it to still open in theaters on that day, but you’ll also have the option of watching it on HBO Max once August 5 rolls around. However, if you don’t watch The Suicide Squad on HBO Max within that first month of availability, you’ll either need to head to your nearest open theater to watch it or wait for it to arrive on Blu-ray, 4K DVD and Digital HD. It’s also worth noting that like with Wonder Woman 1984, all these movies will be available on HBO Max in 4K Ultra HD and HDR.
