Logan Roy Goes ‘Full F*cking Beast’ In New Succession Trailer

After a season-two cliff-hanger that left our jaws on the floor, the pandemic halted production on everyone’s favorite HBO dramedy, Succession. But now it’s back and juicier than ever. In a just-released teaser for the third season, we see Kendall getting ready to go to war with his dad. It looks like his sister, Shiv, is caught in the crosshairs, with Tom, Roman, and, off to the sides, Connor, each trying to figure out what side they’re on.

The most hilarious part of the teaser comes at the end, when Brian Cox as Logan Roy snarls into his cell phone that he’s going to grind Kendall’s bones to make his bread, a message that is relayed by an aide to Kendall, who scrambles and tries to keep up with the Jack and the Giants metaphor. “Okay! Tell him I’m gonna…run up off the…fucking beanstalk.”

“He’s kind of laughing, but not, like, nice laughing,” the aide says.

Watch the tantalizing clip here:

What we don’t see in this trailer? Any mention of the coronavirus. As TV shows pick up filming once again, only some are choosing to incorporate the events of 2020 into their narratives. Superstore and Grey’s Anatomy both embraced the pandemic as a story opportunity, but it looks like some shows are choosing to gloss over it.

Here’s everything we do know about Succession season three:

When does season three premiere? October 17 at 9 p.m. ET! HBO announced the news with three different posters that pit different members of the Roy family on Team Logan and Team Kendall. WHAT DOES IT MEAN? The only consistent player is Cousin Greg, who remains firmly on Team Kendall, but how long will that last?

How many episodes? Get ready for nine more nail-biting hours with the Roys.

What is the premise of season three? “Ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall at the end of season two, Logan Roy begins season three in a perilous position, scrambling to secure familial, political, and financial alliances,” an HBO press release reads. “Tensions rise as a bitter corporate battle threatens to turn into a family civil war.”

You can see this civil war start to play out in the first full trailer, which was released on September 17. Get ready, because Logan Roy is ready to go “full fucking beast.”

We can’t wait.

Khloé Kardashian Just Debuted Frosted Sugar Blonde Hair

Khloé Kardashian is bringing back her blonde locks with a bright new look. Her hair is now a frosted sugar blonde color—it frames her beautifully and brings light to her face.

Kardashian posted the new hairdo on Instagram September 16, captioning the post “Blonde KoKo is back” and posing in clothes from her sister Kim’s line, Skims. Her chosen ‘fit for the hair debut was a light grey tank, great sweatpants, and white sneakers—an uber-casual look that lets her new hair be the star.

Her sisters may have taken a walk on the blonde side before, but Kardashian’s taking the trend to a whole new level with a brighter, frosted look.

Karissa Shaudt, a colorist at Maxine Salon, described sugar blonde (sans frost) as a perfect transition shade from summer to fall. She also gave instructions for you to take to your stylist to get the look.

“Keep the face-framing fresh and bright while adding fine lowlights throughout the nape,” says Shaudt. “These lowlights will add dimension back into the hair from hair that’s been overexposed from summer sun. This shade works great on natural blondes. Be sure to use a blue shampoo to keep this bright blonde maintained.”

We remember Khloé Kardashian’s early 2010s brunette hair, but she’s been playing with different blonde styles for a while now. In recent years, she’s tried out a short blonde bob. She’s also rocked a white-blond wavy style that looked straight out of Game of Thrones

If you’re considering joining Kardashian on the blonde hair train, there’s plenty of fun options for this fall, including Cinderella blonde. This dye job is less shocking and more user-friendly than the other icy blondes we’ve been seeing. For something softer than Kardashian’s white-hot look, consider this platinum blonde trend that adds a subtle, yet uplifting color to your hair.

These Natural Lubes Will Help You Stay Clean While Getting Dirty

Personal lubricants are used on—and in—the most intimate parts of your body, so it makes sense that you’d want to explore the best natural lubes available. Especially if you’re taking cue from your beauty routine, which may have become “cleaner” with brands being increasingly transparent about their ingredient list. While the type of lube you choose is based on personal preference, being as body-safe as possible is priority number 1 when testing out new intimate products and sex toys

What is natural lube, exactly?

Natural lube is considered to be lube that’s free from harsh chemicals and is made from natural ingredients, such as nut oils and aloe leaf juice.

The neat thing about natural lube is that you can technically use ingredients you might already have in your kitchen (although it’s best to start with a new bottle if you plan on using it as a personal lubricant). You can get any kind of plant-based oil (such as coconut, vitamin E, and olive oil) online or at specialty stores, where you can find high-quality, organic stuff. “Just be sure you’re buying oil-based plant oils that are 100 percent organic and 100 percent pure,” Gigi Engle, Certified Sex Coach, Sex Educator, and Womanizer Sex Expert, tells Glamour.

Know what your body likes—or doesn’t like.

All bodies are different, so if you know you have specific sensitivities, do some research before actually using natural lubricants. For instance, many people may swear by coconut oil, but it has the potential to throw off your vagina’s pH levels. Engle says, “If you’re prone to yeast infections, be cautious of coconut oil. It has antibacterial properties, so it can throw off pH. This is pretty unlikely, but is still something to take into consideration, as it has been reported.”

Another downside to oil-based natural lube is that they’re not compatible with latex-based condoms, as Engle warns: “They break down condoms and cause them to fail.” However, several natural lubes that are friendly with condoms do exist on the market, which we’ll get to in a second.

What to watch for when trying out natural lubes.

Engle tells Glamour that there are some ingredients you should steer clear of, like parabens, preservatives, and added fragrances. You likely won’t find these in natural lubes, but read the ingredient list closely: “The vagina and vulva area is one of the most absorbent in the human body. You don’t want to be putting anything unsafe on or in it,” she says.

Here are some of the best natural lubes you can purchase online.

Reese Witherspoon Reveals Why She’s Not Wearing a Wig This Season on The Morning Show

Glamour: Bradley has a new look this season. What was behind the decision to dye her hair blonde, which I’m guessing is now your natural hair?

Reese Witherspoon: Yeah, it’s my hair. We talked about it with Kerry Ehrin, our writer, and Mimi Leder, our director, about how when Bradley gets the top anchor job, she’s just doing anything she can to make people happy at the network. So she dyes her hair, she’s doing TikTok dances, she’s hosting celebrity events for them. She’s just trying to get along, and it’s so not her personality. It’s actually kind of funny.

Did you like giving up the wig?

You know, to be honest…it was a complication that, during the pandemic, would have made my life very, very complicated because of how many people have to come and build [the wigs]. It’s a whole technical industry. We actually made a game day decision that was easier for everybody involved.

So basically COVID killed the wig.

That’s kind of true! [Laughs]

Viewers learn in the first episode that Alex (Jennifer Aniston) is writing a memoir. Is that something you’ve ever had a desire to do?

I don’t know. I mean, I love reading memoirs. I love Jane Fonda’s. I love Sally Field’s. I think it’s important to learn from other women in your industry—what they’ve been through, because we need to remember they broke through a lot of glass ceilings. But I don’t know if I would do that. I don’t know. I just haven’t been through all the chapters in my life yet, so I’m definitely not ready.

Based on your Glamour Women of the Year speech, as well as others you’ve given, I’m just saying I’d be first in line for that.

Well, thank you. Good to know!

So after The Morning Show‘s explosive season one finale, what excited you about Bradley’s story going forward?

When [head writer] Kerry Ehrin and I started talking about how she was re-conceiving season two due to the pandemic, we talked about Bradley exploring her sexuality. I’ve had several friends in their forties who felt suddenly free enough of their childhood or whatever constraints they had to really explore their sexuality. So that was a little conversation we had, and I thought Kerry really handled that beautifully. There’s great complexity around finding your identity when you’re 45 years old, so that was a lot of that conversation. Kerry also wanted to talk about Bradley’s relationship with her brother and his struggle with addiction. I thought that was so powerful; in fact, so much of the crew was coming up during those scenes and saying it really reminded them of a dynamic they have with their own siblings.

Taylor Swift Surprise-Dropped Her New Version of ‘Wildest Dreams’—And Fans Are Losing It

Swifties, rejoice! Your wildest dreams are coming true.

Taylor Swift surprise-dropped “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version),” giving fans an unexpected trip back to the 1989 era. She released the single on Friday, September 17, the latest in her re-recordings of her older music.

Of course, Twitter exploded, with #WildestDreamsTaylorsVersion already at #1 on Trending.

Turns out, we have TikTok to thank for the surprise drop. On the app, Swifties and non-Swfities alike have been using the Slow Zoom feature set to the older version of “Wildest Dreams” and living their main character fantasy. Turns out Swift noticed, and she took to Twitter and her Instagram Story to spread the good news.

Swift also joined in on the protagonist vibes, creating her own version of the Slow Zoom trend with the caption “You set a date in November with Red but then someone mentions 1989.” So she owns the Slow Zoom effect now.

Plus, we now have instructions from the queen herself: Start using her version for the trend.

Taylor Swift had already broken the internet when she joined TikTok back in August, and now the mixing of her eras is just too much. We still have the Taylor’s Version of her 2012 album Red to look forward to on November 19! Let us breathe!

ICYMI, Swift has been re-recording her pre-Lover repertoire after Scooter Braun bought the rights to her first six albums and sold them to an investment firm.

“It’s a shame to know that I will now be unable to help grow the future of these past works and it pains me very deeply to remain separated from the music I spent over a decade creating, but this is a sacrifice I will have to make to keep Scooter Braun out of my life,” she wrote in an October letter after he sold her music.

Ruby Matthews Is the Best Part of Sex Education Season 3

Yeah, I go the long way. You know why? Because you get to see all the little animals. It’s fun. I drive at night so I can drive round. You can either take two hours and a bit or you can take four hours. It was a good four hours. I just love driving. It’s my favorite activity in the world, which is why I love to do the driving scenes. Our director, Ben Taylor, quite likes my driving scenes. I always give it a little bit of action and try to make it look really good.

That’s incredible, but do you ever stay over somewhere? I’d be exhausted being in the car that long.

There are days where I’ll drive there and home the same day. You can’t wear me out with driving. I don’t get tired of it. I can drive all day. I could have been a driver.

You’re hilarious. When I was on the set of Sex Education in 2019, I asked them to drive me to Jean and Otis’s house because I needed to see it up close. It looks so magical overlooking the water, I almost didn’t think it was a real home.

It’s amazing. I did get to do some scenes there this season, which was really fun because I hadn’t been before. It’s beautiful. You almost can’t believe it’s real. You think someone must have drawn that, surely.

Who is the co-star that cracks you up the most?

I think it might be Ncuti Gatwa, who plays Eric. Yeah, definitely. He makes me laugh too much.

Who is the co-star you can talk to about anything?

Ncuti and Chaneil Kular, who plays Anwar. It’s got to be a tie between Ncuti and Chaneil.

Sam Taylor/Netflix

This season, you work very closely with Asa Butterfield, who plays Otis. What was that like?

Oh, we had so much fun. We had a lot of scenes together. Some scenes I was really nervous for, and he made me feel so relaxed. He makes you feel really comfortable, so we just had loads of fun. We also sang a lot. I taught him every word from Cardi B’s songs. It was just fun and games with him. It was brilliant.

Do you have any rituals or superstations before scenes?

Literally nothing, except I like to drink whatever I’m drinking, whether it’s lemonade or water. I just want to make sure I’m hydrated and that I’ve gone for a wee because otherwise I might need to stop, and I don’t want to make it any more stressful than it already is. But it’s always fine. Once you get started, your inhibitions float away. If you’re filming something a little bit sensitive, it’s a closed set, so that’s helpful.

The First Full Trailer for You Season 3 Is Here—And It’s So Creepy

The release date: October 15. Netflix confirmed the fall date in a creepy teaser video posted August 30. In the clip, we also learned Joe and Love have a baby boy named Henry.

And a full trailer dropped on September 17:

The cast is definitely going to include Victoria Pedretti and Penn Badgley. Badgley basically confirmed Joe and Love are going to figure some things out, so we can expect to see their faces again.

We’re getting new characters…a lot of them. Netflix revealed two of them on October 16, 2020. “Fresh blood joining You season three: Shalita Grant will play Sherry, a ‘Mom-fluencer’ who appears down-to-earth, but is actually a mean girl who only pretends to welcome Love into her social circle. Travis VanWinkle will play the wealthy Cary, who invites Joe into his inner circle,” Netflix Queue tweeted.

On October 21, 2020 Netflix announced that Scott Speedman, most famous for playing Ben Covington on Felicity, will be joining the cast. “He’ll play Matthew, a successful CEO, husband, and uncommunicative father. He’s reserved, mysterious, and has a tendency to be withdrawn…all of which masks a deep well of emotion underneath,” a Netflix Queue tweet revealed.

On top of that, Variety revealed on November 18 that there are 13 additional actors joining the cast, including Jack Fisher as Young Joe Goldberg and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’s Tati Gabrielle as “no-nonsense librarian” and series regular.

On January 26, 2021, we learned Scott Michael Foster has joined the cast as Ryan. Per Deadline, Ryan is a television reporter and single dad who “has overcome a history of addiction” and has “a controlling, calculating demeanor that he reserves for those closest to him and anyone who gets in his way.” Spooky!

You season 3 has finished filming! Showrunner Sera Gamble tweeted the news on April 23. “Today is our last day of shooting season 3,” she said. “Can I brag to you for a hot sec?”

Over the course of production during COVID, Gamble shared that they have “administered over 32,000 COVID tests” and had the lowest “lowest overall positivity rate across all comparable productions to date.”

“A year ago, we had no idea how shooting this season would be possible,” Gamble continued in her thread. “I mean…YOU doesn’t really work if there’s no romance or, y’know, murder-type contact.”

She added, “Hope you love the season when it gets here.”

And your first look is here. New photos show Joe and Love as parents. Serial killer parents!

Laney Crowell Drops Her Skin-Care Routine

In almost two years, Saie (pronounced “say”) has become one of the most beloved and trustworthy clean beauty brands thanks to its founder and CEO, Laney Crowell. Its Slip Tint Dewy Tinted Moisturizer with SPF is one of the best-selling clean tinted moisturizers at Sephora. And already Saie has received over 10 prestigious beauty awards and a celeb following including Gwyneth Paltrow and Kim Kardashian.

But getting there took some time, as most anything worth creating does. For Crowell, it started shortly after she left Estee Lauder and started her own editorial platform and blog called The Moment. “I wanted to create a community around beauty being better,” she tells Glamour. “But I had no idea how that was going to materialize.”

Cut to a few months later when brands were sending Crowell products to review for The Moment. She was always well-stocked when it came to hair and skin-care, but the makeup bin was rather empty. “Later that night, I went on Instagram and started asking questions about what products work, what doesn’t. And that was really the night that Saie was born—and where the name comes from—a community saying what they want.”

From there, Crowell began developing a clean makeup line that matched the same high-performing, clean skin-care that her friends and followers were using regularly. “I am such a beauty lover, and a big part of that is because when I was younger, I had bad cystic acne, so I was always trying to cover up,” she says. “But I learned that the less I do and the cleaner my products, the better my skin. I cannot use anything with silicones in it or I’ll get really bad breakouts.”

It’s a good thing Crowell embraces a minimalist routine, because with two young children, a recent move to Sag Harbor, New York, and a thriving business, efficiency and quality are key. “I have so little time, I just want to do my skin-care at night time and get into to bed.”

And as I stare at Crowell’s lit-from-within skin through Zoom—and relate to plenty of her skin-care concerns—I’m thrilled she’s spilling her secrets. So what does she swear by? Time to find out, with another edition of Glamour‘s Drop the Routine.

My Cleanser

I love Mara Algae Enzyme Cleansing Oil. The bottle is so beautiful, but I love it because my skin responds best to a cleansing oil. Even Saie’s Mascara 101 comes off with just water.

My Tonic

REN Clean Skincare’s Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic is one of my secret weapons. I use my Saie cotton balls [Ed. note: Saie cotton balls come in every order to protect the products in place of filler packaging] to apply it. And it really is just so effective, it’s a great price point and it lasts a while. Within two or three days, my skin just looks brighter. If I feel like if my skin isn’t looking fresh, I’m like, “Okay. Time to use my REN.” I have sensitive skin, so I use it maybe three times a week.

My Face Oils/Serums

After applying the AHA Tonic, I go straight to my face oil. It seems so counterintuitive that a face oil will stop you from breaking out, but for me, that was my case. The more oils that I use, the less breakouts I have. I love the Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum facial oil. A less expensive one, which I also love, is Le Prunier. It’s a beautiful face oil, it smells delicious because it comes from plums, and you just see your skin plumping. It’s incredible. I use the oils in place of moisturizer.

My Eye Cream

I use the Furtuna Skin Eye Revitalizing Cream. The brand takes such care in the ingredients that go into their products, and their eye cream is stunning. I keep it right next to my bed and I put it on right before I go to sleep.

My Face Masks

I love face masks, especially when I’m taking a bath. My number one face mask that I absolutely love is pure Manuka honey. I get a jar of it at Whole Foods or the natural food store in town and I apply it all over. It’s anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and so hydrating. It’s also so gentle that you can do as much as you want. And then I love the Leahlani Superfood For Your Skin Mermaid Mask. It’s bright green because of the algae, and my skin really likes it. You can see that brightening afterwards, which is great.

My Tools

I’m really into tools, especially the Wildling Empress Stone. It’s a beautiful gua sha tool that is a different shape than the ones you normally see, which allows you to really go along your jaw line. It hugs your cheekbones, it hugs your brow bone. I’ll do a face massage probably four times a week to help relax. I massage my jaw a lot. It makes such a big difference just for lifting and de-puffing. And it’s something you can do all watching TV, which is a big plus for me when it comes to skincare.

I also use the Dr. Dennis Gross DRx SpectraLite FaceWare Pro. I got that as a gift from my husband for Mother’s Day. It really is worth the investment, and I love it. And then on the opposite end of the spectrum, I use an ice roller that I got on Amazon. I keep it in the freezer. I’ll just hold it over my eyes and I feel like a different person.

I also actually recently started seeing a dermatologist in New York, Dr. Marnie Nussbaum. I go to her for the Clear and Brilliant Laser Treatment to help reverse sun damage from when I was younger.

My Spot Treatment

I used the True Botanicals Clear Repair Serum for breakouts. I was breaking out really badly when I was pregnant, and the founder, Hillary, directed me to their Clear line. Now I have to have a bottle of that serum on hand for a breakout because you just use it as a spot treatment and it’s gone.

My Sunscreen

I use Saie Sunvisor and Saie Slip Tint everyday. Sunvisor is our true sunscreen, so I use that almost everyday. And Slip Tint has SPF in it as well. If I need a little bit of makeup, I wear Slip Tint; if I’m going for a run, I’ll put on Sunvisor.

My Lip Balm

I use our liquid nourishing lip balm. It’s so good. If you like really great gloss, you’re going to love liquid lip balm. It was created as that just everyday lip balm that you’ve always wanted that gives you a little tiny bit of sheen. It’s crazy hydrating. You can use it before bed, or you could even use it like walking into a meeting because it still gives you that polished look, no matter how you use it. It’s your daily lip mask.

Irina Shayk Says Her Ex, Bradley Cooper, Is a ‘Hands-On’ Dad Who Doesn’t Use a Nanny

Irina Shayk might be against the term “coparenting,” but she’s all for giving props to Bradley Cooper, the father of her four-year-old daughter.

In a new interview with Highsnobiety‘s HIGHStyle the model praised her ex, Cooper, for his “hands-on” approach to raising their daughter. “He’s a full-on, hands-on dad—no nanny,” Shayk said. “[My daughter] Lea went on holiday with him for almost two weeks—I didn’t call them once.”

Honestly, we’re not about praising dads for doing the bare minimum when it comes to raising children—especially considering society’s seemingly endless expectations for mothers—but everyone needs help sometimes, so this is honestly pretty impressive. A no-nanny policy in Hollywood is practically unheard of!

This interview lines up with another statement she gave about Cooper’s strengths as a father back in March 2021. While referring to her ex as “the most amazing dad,” she also explained why she rejects the term “coparenting.”

“I never understood the term ‘coparenting,’” she told Elle at the time. “When I’m with my daughter, I’m 100% a mother, and when she’s with her dad, he’s 100% her dad. Coparenting is parenting.”

Shayk, who typically keeps her family life pretty private, also opened up to HIGHStyle about their “very strict” parenting style. “When she finishes eating, she gets up from the table, takes her plate, says ‘thank you.’ Without ‘please’ or ‘thank you,’ she’s not getting anything,” Shayk continued. “It’s hard, because she has so many toys. I had one doll, and I still have this doll. Blonde, blue eyes, big Russian doll. My grandma used to make clothes for her.”

Shayk continued, “I always explain, ‘Look, this is my doll. I had only one.’ Or sometimes, ‘You have this candy. I used to have candy only for Christmas.’”

Irina Shayk and Bradley Cooper called off their four-year relationship in June 2019. “I think in all good relationships you bring your best and your worst—it’s just the nature of a human being,” Shayk told Vogue in a candid interview seven months after their split. “Two great people don’t have to make a good couple.”
